Burg Restaurant in Konigstein im Taunus

The food was tasty but unfortunately delivered 25 'late even though I made the order 1.5 hour ago. I also found the portions very small. The packaging was also not correct, as there was no closure, the sauce had leaked into the bag during transport and the oil also got on my hands and on the floor of my hallway upon delivery. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right here. For € 35 for 2 servings (with lamb and veal) I expected more.

Insider tip! From the outside inconspicuous, inside you feel very comfortable and the food is great! Something different.

For the known reasons we could not eat on site this time, but ordered and picked up two lunch menus with starters and desserts online. That didn't hurt the quality. The soup was still perfectly warm (because it was well packaged), and everything else tasted excellent again. Highly recommended!

Friendly service, unfortunately no face mask worn, no safety distance and no disinfectant. The tables are completely normal in the restaurant, no corona safety rules are observed. Food was good, just about enough, enough to be full, 14 € for a vegan meal is already tight, with the gourmet block it's okay, otherwise it would not be appropriate. The temperature in the restaurant wasn't really comfortable.

Unfortunately I only have to give this restaurant one star. Unfortunately, we were blinded by the good reviews here and wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed and confronted with the sharpest DISCRIMINATION. My Afghan friend bought a dinner voucher for 4 through Groupon. The conditions of the coupon state that a table must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance by telephone contacting the restaurant. We called about 3 days in advance and talked to the boss on the phone. When the boss found out that the Afghan friend had made the reservation he became (for some inexplicable reason) extremely UNFRIENDLY. The voucher that was purchased was supposedly only for Germans. This is of course absolute nonsense / nonsense and would also violate applicable law. In the 21st century, seeing such a direct type of DISCRIMINATION annoyed us so much that we immediately reported the incident to Groupon. In addition, we may consider taking legal action. We will NEVER dine in such a discriminating restaurant!

Delicious afghan food :-) I didn't expect to find such a nice place in Königstein. We went there for hiking and had dinner there at the end.

Very delicious food and super dear waiter. Unfortunately, the outside of the restaurant is a little "inconspicuous", but it is definitely worth a visit. We were really pleasantly surprised. Price-performance ratio is right! Had extremely delicious food and a nice evening. Especially the fried eggplants with yoghurt sauce and the delicious dessert are worth a visit alone. Thank you for the delicacy. We would love to come back.

An all around successful restaurant. The food is very good and the portions just right. Here you are served and very well advised by the boss, who is very personable. We really enjoyed it and we will definitely eat here again.

Very nice and pleasant atmosphere. I haven't had Afghan cuisine on my screen so far, but I have to say that what we were served there was super delicious. I can only recommend the Maultaschen👍🏻

Very nice and lovingly furnished restaurant. There can be up to 30 people. The food was really delicious. The operator (my guess) of the restaurant that served us at the same time, was too abundant (at each course he asked us if it tasted and good and everything was good). All three dishes were delicious. This restaurant is 100 percent recommendable.

Good was good but a bit more expensive

A very nice restaurant. The location is nice at the old town, with good parking. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Afghan and Persian. The kitchen is excellent. Fine tuned dishes. Especially you should also mention the owner. He does an excellent job. Very friendly, fast and always an eye on everything. Then you realize that this gentleman has received his education in a star restaurant. Overall, highly recommended.

Halal restaurant, according to what the workers say, because they are Afghan Muslims .. The service is very excellent .. Delay in preparing food, perhaps because it works on demand ... It is delicious.

Eaten Afghani for the first time and really loved it. It wasn't a problem to appear there with the Schlemmerblock. The owner explained everything to us very nicely and we decided on the special mixed platter from the house. I look forward to the next time. A homemade chutney was served with bread and was a great taste experience for me.

Good food but It was difficult to rate the restaurant properly. There were many reasons that spoke for 2 but also for 3 stars. You can read in great detail below why I have given the 3 stars after all. Note the service is very good. The boss served us and was very nice. Ambience is rather very weak. A lot more traditional things would have to be brought in. Criticism! 1) The restaurant is located directly at a bus stop. If there is a large number of passengers, the volume in the restaurant becomes very loud and annoying. The two tables outside cannot really be used either. You always have passengers hanging over your plate. This is definitely a star deduction. With longer music you wouldn't notice anything but for a quiet lunch it is very annoying. 2) The drinks menu is absolutely in need of improvement. The selection was too small and some things weren't in stock. Only small drinks are offered. Price is reasonable ... But if you like to drink a lot it quickly becomes very expensive and corresponds to prices in very upscale cafes. A small shandy, small cola and small apple juice balls are € 10.50. A no-go for this restaurant price range. 3) The food is very good. However, as you can see from the photos, the meat portion is absolutely measly. That must not be. The dish costs quite a bit and should have at least 150g of meat. Another rather more important aspect of eating is the excessive salting. It's okay if you add salt to earn something from the drinks, but not everyone likes to eat salt with a spoon. The tastes are very different. 4) We have reserved a table with a high chair for a baby. When we arrived it had to be set up first. We're used to something else. By and large it was ok. Absolutely fine for lunch, but not for more.

Food delicious and special. Service very friendly and attentive. Ambience ok. Drink prices unacceptable (0.3 apple spritzer 4.50 EUR - 0.5 beer 5.60 EUR). Prices on account differently than on card. Since we were there with gourmet block, we didn't care.
